Today’s RJ’s Specials is the super hit and classical track ‘De Deedar’ by the legendary Punjabi singer, Lakhwinder Wadali. Lakhwinder Wadali comes from a family of singers and vocalists, with the Wadali name being a very famous and well known name in Punjab. Wadali receive much of his training in classical Punjabi music from his father, Puran Chand Wadali who is also a very famous punjabi vocalist. This track by Lakhwinder Wadali is one of his more popular and well known tracks and has fared quite well with the listeners of our station. The music for this track is by Jatinder Jeetu. Lakhwinder Wadali’s voice and amazing ability at handling complex sufi songs is evident in this track from 2014. The track was really popular that year and continues to be well listened to among the Punjabi diaspora worldwide. We hope y’all enjoy listening to this track as much as we do.
